The podium is close!
The last stage of this first edition of the Central Europe Rally will take the contestants from Vezsprem to Lake Balaton where the rally’s finishing line and final judging will be staged. But before mounting the podium, the drivers will have to face the 157 km-long special - the longest of the rally - for one last time but the other way around this time. In terms of terrain, no major change therefore on this still very fast route cut off by some off-road sections and several other more technical sections, e.g. alongside the forest where contenders will have to watch out due to the presence of cervidae in the area. Moreover, the different trips of the caravan as well as the rain from yesterday afternoon will have - naturally - deteriorated the track and multiplied the traps present along the way. With the finish in mind, pilots will have to be extra careful because even if the vast majority of those still in the race will have nothing to win on this last timed special, they may still lose it all!...
