Eric Farges: “Moments you never forget” What a dynamic duo. Their itinerary to reach the start of the rally in Lisbon is far from ordinary. Eric Farges and Thierry Paluch will take off from Dakar, the city where they both live all year round. For them, the Lac Rose isn’t a competitor’s dream, just the scenery of their every day life for quite a few years now. After ten appearances, Eric Farges has decided to put his friend Thierry Paluch in the co-driver’s seat and make him discover the Dakar. The “Dakar” and not “Africa”, indeed both men already know a major part of the continent. Together they hope to finish within the leading forty positions of the overall standings. The goal is to make it to Dakar and finish the rally, but also to salute the inhabitants of two villages of Senegal: Wassoudou that receives medical help from a partner association; and Gaffane, where Thierry Paluch financed a machine to deal with mil flower last year.
