Neville Murray: “At last I want to reach Dakar”
Three appearances and three withdrawals: so far the equation certainly doesn’t satisfy him. This year, Neville Murray dreams of adding another parameter: 2007 = finish in Dakar. Indeed neither in 2002, 2003, nor in 2004 has this South-African businessman specialised in bio diesel oil managed to see the Lac Rose. An accident, a finish outside the time limit, an engine failure: the path heading to Dakar was full of ambushes. To overcome them Neville Murray has promised himself two things this year. First of all not to listen to his big heart too much and stop adding problems to his own by losing time helping out other competitors. Then cover the race with a biker of the same level just in order to have two individuals to face the difficulties. This year Neville Murray will therefore take off on the Dakar alongside Christo Aspeling, his compatriot and friend for quite some years. The two men promised to travel through the desert together and help each other out. A story of friendship and solidarity.
